I think my post was pointing toward inattentiveness when it comes to maintenance of tires. Like I said, just check them on occasion. I had the Wilderness tires on my truck and never had any problems. I replaced them when they had close to 50,000 miles on them. I know they weren't the affected size, but I still checked them. For an "Off Road" tire, they weren't very good for off road. I like my Bridgestone Revos a lot better. On the other hand, my dad had an explorer with the Wilderness tires in the 235 size. His were delaminating and were replaced under the recall. To me it looked like they were just old and getting dry rotted.
