That's Schramm �Pneumatractor� indeed! Seems every town highway dept around here had one back in the 50�s and 60�s.

They used a standard IHC truck engine modified to run on the front 3 cylinders with back 3 cylinders compressing air. As a tractor they were kinda underpowered and clumsy. And they did not have the air capacity of a dedicated compressor unit of similar cost. However the Pneumatractor�s ability to move itself around, to pull other equipment and to perform light blade work made it a very handy for highway departments, railroads, on construction sites, etc.

I submit a Pneumatractor would be very collectable. I recall only seeing 1 or 2 in my 15 years of visiting old iron shows. Certainly more unique and interesting than yet another styled A or Farmall H! And it�s being an �assembled� machine - assembled from other manufacturer�s standard products � most repair parts should still be available.

I say go for it!
