Your post was well said! As an alternative to Cummins, the Perkins 1000 series (also badged as Cat 3056) would be a good choice for the pickup market. Detroit 40 series. And these engines are sleeved which gives them more class. Deere makes an engine that would be a good choice, and has wet sleeves to boot. For a while Deere dabbled in truck engines but I think that fizzled out. Mercedes truck engines, these are very good, but I don't know whether they have sleeves. Most likely wet sleeves in the bigger ones but I am not sure about the smaller sizes. But for sure powerjokes and durapukes are not in the same league as Cummins, let alone these others. Good HP numbers but basically throwaway, over-electroniced consumer crap.
