Engine Question,s?

talking about white 4-180,s,
a guy told me that the front bearing in 3208 Cat V8,s needed to be changed every 2500 hrs,
Or it would get hot, and fail,
This sound,s a little fishy to me,
I thought that the Cat V8,s were pretty robust,
and didnt have a history of little problem,s
Like that,
If that,s the case,than do Perkin,s V8,s
have the same problem?
I wanna get a Massey 2775, but if it,s going to do this on me,
than Ill forget it,and go with another brand.
Please get back to me on this ok,
