Boy, all three of my throw away V8 Cat's have lasted well over that 2500 hr mark. One in a truck with 350k never touched, one in a MF 1800 with 4800 hrs never opened up, and one in a NH TR95 with 3500 hrs still fires up when it is well below freezing and runs like a champ and of course not had the pan off or heads off or anything.
