Tim, In my opinion, the simplest thing to do would be to get a Delco "single wire alternator". As the name implies, there is one wire from the stud on the rear to the battery. If you want to see the charge on the ammeter, run the wire to the ammeter, then to the battery. Good Luck. -Vinnie
