She's not interested in whether or not you starch your clothes--she's interested in YOU (we hope). So wear whatever is appropriate for the place you are going, maybe just a little better than what everyone else wears. As others have said, be yourself. If things get serious, she should know who you are, not a phoney who was always trying to impress her. Make sure you both have fun. My bride & I knew each other for about 8 months before our first date because she was engaged to someone else. That gave us a real advantage because we thought we knew all along that nothing more than friendship could happen, so there was no pretension and we got to know each other as friends. It has worked for us alamost 40 years now.
