Several years ago I remember seeing a JD "B" that had been converted to Diesel....so it can be done. I think I saw it in a "2-Cylinder" Magazine. About the neatest thing I have seen, is the conversions made using the GM V-8 Diesel in an "A"...!!! For a diesel to operate, it has to have at least 450 lbs of compression....a whale of a load on the crank and bearings..plus the added burden of the shock-loads of the diesel fuel detonating, when it lights up...!! Ron..
