Not sure what state your in but in MN farm diesel is dyed red for off road use only. You pay no road taxes on it and you pay a $1000 fine if the DOT finds it in a road truck. You pay state and federal taxes on the road diesel and use it in any road truck. Kerosine is used for home heating and is refined differantlly than diesel and cannot be used in a diesel engine.
