Broadcasting wheat seed, yield?

Hi, I have 6 acres I want to plant to wheat in Indiana. I cant find a good drill for less than $600 - too much. If I disk this ground first, can I broadcast the wheat seed with a spreader and just lightly disk that in? How will this yield?
Also, if I would normally do 120 lbs with a drill, how much should I broadcast to account for that seed that wont grow becasue it will be too shallow and too deep? Just looking for your thoughts..
