We're on our second golf cart. The first, a $500 Yamaha g1 gas, did a great deal of work, primarily trailer-hauling, but one fall I carried out a winter's wood in the box on the back and gathered sap in a 55 gallon drum the following spring. After five years its oiler gave out and I went to cart number 2:

An EZ-Go 2 cycle. Instead of a box on this one we went with a 2" receiver hitch and custom trailer, leaving space for two or three passengers to crowd onto the back. For a $1000. purchase price we've had two years of trouble-free work so far, with no letup in sight.
