I don't mind lending equipment to friends, I would like to think that they would do the same for me if I needed anything. I had one friend haul his new tractor with front end loader about 25 miles for me to use, all the while I'm telling him I didn't need it, he hauled it over anyway. But then, I let another friend use my new post hole digger that I had only dug 8 holes with, when he brought it back the drive shaft was bent, I didn't notice it untill I was ready to finish digging my holes. When I talked to him about it, he said he didn't bend it, and that he knew where I could buy a new shaft. Month or so later he came by wanting to know if I had got a new driveshaft, and that he sure needed to dig a few post holes. I told him that I wasn't going to replace the shaft untill I needed it again. I think he got the drift.
