The 2N was the war time tractor and when it came out, no electricals, just mag ignation ans steel wheels with a hand crank and a chock rod thru the grill, was just a year or two that they were back to being equiped the same as the 9N's were. Most obvious differences were the 2N hood had the mounting bolts thru the doglegs and the 9N had hidden hood mounting, and the 9N had the I beam wishbone and 2N the oval and the 2N steering wheel was bare spoke while the 9N was all rubber covered
