The Federal gov't here is working hard with our tax dollars to ban private ownership of firearms world wide.
Young hunters, poor, lower middle class and middle class can hardly afford to hunt or shoot here. The cost of training manuals/regulations, permits, testing, police checks, registration, gun vaults, etc. $$$ and hassle pushed a majority of firearm owners out. Andturn their guns into the cops to be chopped up.
The little old ladies/widows have been so frightened and brainwashed by the media. They call the cops to come and pickup their husbands guns before his body is cold. They seem to have no idea the value of the pre 1964 Winchesters, Weatherbys etc. They don't even read or believe the ads in the papers where legit collectors can pickup the guns and pay them a few bucks.
A few years ago some STUPID old women in New Found Land. Called the cops and turned in a family heirloom. Turns out it was an Officers pistol and holster from the Titanic.
