The Titanic pistol and holster was turned into the RCMP. At that time there is no recourse, the firearm was torched or cut in half then melted down at a steel mill.
Destruction of rare and valuable firearms happened everyday due to scared and stupid people.
These firearms even go to be scrapped wearing $600+ scopes. The scared owners don't even know the scopes could be removed and sold.
