Some maps have the phone numbers of the port of entry stations.
You might find one that has the number of the one at the crossing
you will be using and call there directly ahead of time and see what
they require. I did this on a trip to BC. Had no trouble going in or
bringing a crawler back. As long as you can prove it was made in
the US originally, there is no import/ export duties.
