My neighbors had a 2 row gehl in the late 50's and pulled it with a 70 john deere and were always short of power. They blew the silage direct into trucks built from old army trucks from WW2 and decided to help the power shortage by putting a bumper on the back of the cutter and then pushed a little with the army trucks. If I recall right the trucks were 6 wheel drives. Amazingly it worked real good and then they bought a brand new 4010 in 61 and then did not push with the trucks any more.
