8N 3 Pt hitch is very sick ? Low Power !

This is also posted at the 8N thread. However, just in case other guys know the answer too.... I just got my first tractor recently The 3 pt hitch will lift about 100lbs That's it !???? Also, It seems to operate in small jerky movements I check the dipstick oil its within the marks.
Questions What goes wrong? how expensive $ to repair? What oil is used? Is this the same oil for the transmission? Sat 17th at 1:15pm Thanks You Robb Syracuse NY area
