I once had a pull type 9 shank Krause chisel plow with the twisted shovels. 4 inch shovels, I think. I pulled it ok with a somewhat tired 4020 in most of the local silt loam soils. Usually 8 or 9 inches deep. I think I used 4th gear most of the time. However, in heavy clay or in badly compacted areas, I had to remove 2 shanks. A mounted plow might pull a little easier.
