I had a 5 hp briggs on a lawnmower that would run very well untill you put the lawnmower in gear then it would spudder and die, tore it down checked everything couldn't find anything wrong. Called briggs they didn't have any ideas said they would send a man over, an hour later briggs called back and asked if the sparkplug boot was close to the metal on the plug. It was, he said to cut part of the boot off. Solved the problem, briggs had got some boots that was high in carbon and they would short out.
