Who is "we"? It would help to know a little more about who you folks are. It sounds to me like you are engineering students looking for a project.
Here's an idea for you to work on.Why don't you design a device to hold the top link on the three point hitch when not in use. It should be retrofittable to a large number of tractors and it should cost less than $20. A Retired Engineer
