We are looking to solve any mechanical design problems for any tractor parts that typicaly fail. Our goal is to redesign a tractor part that commonly fails. We would like to hear any details of common problems with your tractors. We appreciate any comments or suggestions you have for our project.

Thank you!

Gasoline shut-off valves for Ford 100-series tractors.

They cost about $50 from TISCO and are complete junk, the often don't last but a few months, then start leaking. I'm guessing Ford owners would pay twice that for valves that worked and lasted.

Who is "we"? It would help to know a little more about who you folks are. It sounds to me like you are engineering students looking for a project.
Here's an idea for you to work on.Why don't you design a device to hold the top link on the three point hitch when not in use. It should be retrofittable to a large number of tractors and it should cost less than $20.
