Hydro70 tractor

I'm looking for a slow tractor for transplanting. A new one with a true creeper would be nice but I can't justify the cost. I saw an International Hydro70 advertised. 2800 hours. How good were these transmissions? What problems do they have? Are their speeds really infinitely adjustable from 0 to top speed or is there slippage etc? This tractor might work for me. The only thing I don't like right now is that it is gas not diesel. I drove a hydro once and it seemed to make a lot of noise, is this normal?
