Argon co2 vs plain co2 gas

Looking at buying a mig welder, probably a Miller. Anyways, I've got to decide whether to go with the Argon/co2 mixture for shielding gas or just plain co2. The co2 is quite a bit cheaper for refilling bottles but I've been told that I would be happier with the mixture (although it's much more money). What are the advantages and disadvantages of each type of sheilding gas (other than cost)?
