Thanks for all the responses. I talked to a guy at work who has a 1992-93 F250 w/o the turbo. He has 260k mi. on his and couldn"t say anything bad about his either. I looked at the rear end last night, thought the tag said X.55 on the tag. Would that be a 3.55 sized rear end, only heard of a 3.73 and 4.10 gears.

I have no intention in putting chips or propane, or anything of the sort in/on the truck. The more I think about it, the more I"m hoping the bank doesn"t won"t upset me (not give me the loan). The salesman is tring to get a hold of the previous owner to find out if the trans. has been flushed and any other maintainence has been done.
