Quite a bit of it grown in northern Indiana,up towards Chicago.Toured a mint farm a few years ago.It was an interesting trip.Treated somewhat like haylage except it is blown into enclosed wagons which are hooked up to steam and the oil is extracted by processing it with steam.From there, the water is removed by distillation leaving only the oil from the leaves.One drop of it can flavor thousands and thousands of toothpicks.
