That is a Wico B4027 6 VOLT battery distributor. Not a magneto. It's was designed to run on 6 VOLTS ONLY! NEVER 12 Volts, not even a 12 volt boost. It will fry the coils and never fire or fire right again. Also if the switch is left on when engine isn't running it overheats and can fry the coils. A resistor also goes in line by the switch to the distributor terminal. If you ran it on 12 volts it's beyond help and needs coils and condenser and resistor and probably points. Some others have designed a safety switch set up that kills power to the dist. after engine oil pressure drops and engine is off to prevent coil burn out.
