Hi Kirk, There's only one way to buy a generator, the smallest one that get the job done with using the least amount of fuel. Dig until you get the fuel consumtion costs to compare. No spec's, then refuse to buy as it will cost you more to run it vs another model. There is a China diesel engine, 13hp, that uses 1/2gal hr at full hp rating, for $689 plus deliverly about $200. Drawback is it's heavy so would have to be wheel mounted for being portable. Depending on your useage, fuel cost could save you a ton of money. T_Bone
