Kirk, To charge the batteries you'd be better off with an inverter in the truck. No sense in humping a generator around when you've got plenty of power with you already.
You'd need a BIG inverter to run a skillsaw so thats a different story but for $50 (that'd be a real good inverter) you could save some hassle.
