New lift arms and pto repairs indicate that the tractor must have been used for mowing as compared to plowing and apparently had seen a lot of that. Your problem with attached implements may be caused by misalighment caused by a bad bearing....just guessing. Not really clear to me what problem you are describing. On starting any mower, there is usually a big clanging noise caused by the blades swinging abruptly straight out from the center of the hub from whatever position they were in before you engaged the pto. Once the initial bang ceases, it should run smoothly. Do you have Live PTO operated by a 2 stage clutch and an engagement lever whereas releasing the clutch starts the pto rotation, or Independent which has no relationship to the clutch and starts turning a couple of seconds after you engage the lever? Answering this will help with the rest of your question. Mark
