I don't think I understand your question. I would consider the difference between a 7 shank and a 10 to be considerable. At least in the neighborhood of 50% more for the 10 vs. 7. We pulled 10 with the 4840 in 6th and sometimes 7th gear with 8 speed powershift. We always worked that tractor in higher gears with low rpm to actually force the engine to lug a little just to get some traction. It looked funny having a 10 foot chisel plow and dual wheels measuring at least 13 feet wide, but it's the only way we could get enough traction. Actually the A-C 7010 with about 110 hp handled it better than the 4840, at least traction wise. Ground speed was slower.
