Would be nice if there were options for some of us. Me, I still need a truck to haul trailers and supplies for the farm. But....I work 450 miles away from home, in a place where there is no public transportation to, nor once you get there. You may say buy a little car for the commute then, but who can afford to keep yet another vehicle insured, since I would still need the truck? Or the price of buying and trying to keep another vehicle running? No, best I can really do is go to a truck that gets a bit better mileage.
