Although I have several tractors, this is not exactly a tractror question but I"m sure someone knows the answer anyway. I was helping a friend with a club car that has a combination starter/generator. The starter works fine but the it does not charge the battery. Brushes and field windings all read fine with any ohm meter. If I ground the field winding while it is running which I thought should call for full charge I get nothing. It would help to repair it if I knew how it worked in the first place. Any help would be appreciated. Thank, Tim
