Jerry, We had a Pellet stove for about 6 yrs. The draw back to it was if there was a power bump it would go to high fire and stay there. I fought the company to wire around that part since we came home one day and the house was over 100 deg inside. A power bump while we were gone almost turned it into a house fire. We have a pellet furnace now and use 6 tons each winter in Northern panhandle of Idaho to heat our 2800 sq ft home. It will get as low as 24 below 0 with NO WIND. The secret to having them work good is to keep the heat exchanger clean. Mainteance during use is a must. The auger motor went out last winter at a cost of 165.oo from the manufacturer, Trager. I found the same one with a different brand name for 53.oo at a local supply house.
