Gentlemen,I need a definition of a "spool valve". Does single spool valve mean there are 2 hose connections? Will a single spool valve always work a double acting cyclinder? Or does some single spool valves work only a single acting cylinder? Sorry for these stupid questions, just want to understand the terminology often used in parts catalogs. I'm trying to get hydraulic's on a ford(70 model) 4000d 3 cyl that will work a double acting cylinder, and was not sure what i was looking at in the catalogs. ALso, is pressure detent worth the extra $$$ over spring detent? Thanks,D Sellers
