Yesterday morning, I go out to start cutting hay and my tractor has a flat rear tire. About 2 hours and a lot of dollars later, the tire repair truck leaves and I take off for a field about a mile down the road. I get two passes and the disc mower is making THAT noise � yep, bad lower bearing on one of the pots. I get back to the house and my wife says the TV is broken. I take a look and its way beyond my expertise. I�m going to town to get a bearing for the mower so I�ll swing into Wal-Mart, grab one, and head back to the house.
I get home, get my neighbor to help me haul the TV in, and my wife says, �Guess what�.
I�m thinking, NOW what�s broken???
She says, Reva called a few minutes ago�. (Reva is my brother�s wife) �She says the lump on her breast is not cancer � they can remove it at Same Day Surgery.�
I looked at my wife, not saying a thing. She asks, �what�s the matter.� �Nothing�, I say, but I�m thinking to myself � It could have been cancer � and it could have been you.
Let�s all try to keep things in perspective around here� take a little time to laugh.
