Get yourself a piece of 3/8 pipe longer than your needed stays. using wire of same gage bend it so it is at least 6 to 8 inches longer than stays you need. clamp the piece of pipe in bench vise, push wire through pipe, clamp loose ends with visegrips so it will not turn. Put rod through the loop end of wire twist the amount of turns you would like to have in your stays, cut to length. Pipe will keep the wire straight will twisting....HTH...Keith...clear as mud!!
