Now the marking is done with GPS. Some pop flags too. In fact it is next to impossible to get insurance with out a GPS marker. it is accurate within a couple of inches and the map can be downloaded later incase of lawsuit or to placate a person that believes he has been..... well taken advantage of. My personal mount is a 1941 J5 (picture taking craft) and a Cherokee 140 (160hp) that is used for pilot instruction. I am building from scratch, a biplane and helping a good friend restore a 46 J3. I run a littel airport in IA. It is a good way to live if you have no life and a great way to spend any extra chainge one can pull out of the sofa! :? )
