hey mike I haven't checked the valves yet. Both pistons are down somewhat from the top so I haven't worried about them yet.
Last night I used about a 6' pipe chained to the flywheel. I didn't jump on it but i did bounce it a little with my hands, I don't really know how rough I can get with it with out bending something. Before I quit last night I used a chain and boomer like you were talking about with the comealong.
let it soak a while longer can't hurt, but i'll probably end up tearing it down.
