Your brakes were on the driveshaft? Your parking brake would be, but my '50 Ford has drum brakes on all 4 corners. Your parking brake wouldn't have helped you much anyway.

BTW, brake parts, including drums, master and wheel cylinders, shoes and hoses for my '50 Ford F-6 were all available from Joblot Automotive, of Queens, NY.
