Most modern (foreign) 6v regulators are not adjustable. Some have a screw lock down on the points stop that moves the contact closer or further from the pickup. This is how you adjust how long these points stay together based on the pressure that is set to pull them apart. That said, I dinked around with my old 6v positive ground regulator on my Ford NAA tractor for weeks trying to get it right. I could get 6.2v or 7.9v - but for some reason nowhere in between... It is VERY difficult to do without the proper measurment equipment. Some old mom and pop shops may still be able to do it for you. Good luck, Dan
