the old ones could be taken apart and the numbers reset to anything you wanted. at the dealership we had a list of how many miles a car should have on it depending on age.if anyone asked we were to tell them that it was broke and we fixed it. by the way txgrn this happened about 20 miles south of you. HHHHMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm
