Looking in tonight's paper at a local GM dealer's advertisment: Headlines read..."You Pay Less than the Dealer Pays!!". Example: 05 Buick LeSabre, MSRP 33,835, Less Employee Discount 3,772, Less Rebate 3,000, Less Dealer Discount 575, total LOW price is 26,488. You're right...it's just a slight of hand movement in changing the discount from the "dealer side" to the "employee side". Last month when the Ford / Dodge dealer was offering 24 mo. leases on 4x4 Fords or Dodges for 199.00 / month with no money down...that's when new pickups were moving out!
