I think you can use the Freedom of Information Act to find out who complained about you, but if the city fuzz came to see you its between you and them. Different places have different rules so like someone said, check the law.
Here the county has a junk car ordinance and they are running around hauling off cars with no tags or insurance. The local news rag posts telephone numbers to call to report junk cars, encouraging neighbors to rat on neighbors. I don't think anything is said about farm equipment though. Don't know what local cities say. I've always said I would like to put a tag on a junky vehicle and park it next to one of the junk car Nazis. Come to think of it, some of the vehicles I run meet that description. KEH
