I can't say for sure that the very largest do, but I know of a Komatsu in the area that compares to a D-9, and I'm almost positive that it is a hydrostat. I was watching it work in a strip mine one day, and it had absolutely seemless movement. I was watching him vary speed with no change in engine rpm. Very very smooth. So I can't swear to all of them being hydrostat, but I know many are.
