I really thought it would go the other way. So now I know for sure I'll be losing my place shortly, because my county wants to put a bypass around the bypass. Life with developers is going to get interesting now. They've been running amuck here for years, but they've always had to curry favor to pull it off. Now, they don't need to do the currying, and can't even be fought. If it was small potatoes developers, that would be one thing. But around here, developers work on the 10,000 acre+ scale, destroying miles of waterfront in the name of progress. Then again, if we get a developer who proposes replacing all of Baltimore, that might actually be an improvement. I could see Rouse doing it. My grandparents were thrown out of their house back in the early 1970's by Washington DC. The city determined they needed that block of beautifull victorian houses for a parking lot. Here in 2005, the rubble piles of those homes still sit over the foundations.
