Don't know about your Haybine, so I wont add anything except to say be careful about putting too much weight on the back of the truck and getting the front end light.
I was struck by your remark about crossing open range. Don't guess you mean the old time open range. That reminds me of a story. About 1971 the wife and I took a trip to the Grand Canyon and not too far out of Flagstaff on hwy 180 we saw signs warning of open range. Seems the cows had the right of way. At the intersection of 180 and 64 there was an attempted real estate development, few roads cut through the brush. About 15 years later wife and I and 2 girls took another trip through there. A few roads still in the brush, a trailer or two, a campground, and a filling station where the owner tried to sell me $140 air shocks because the station wagon was loaded down, sorta like the Beverly Hillbillies car. I said no thanks, drove car another 100k miles, no new shocks. Turned out the place hadn't developed because there was no water, had to truck in water from Flagstaff. Couple of people had drilled 5000 foot dry holes. Volcanic soil there wont hold rainfall. Oh well, good luck on the drive. Liked your Green grain drill. Hope I don't double post this time.
