60's were built from 1952 to 1956. Power steering option from late in the 1954 model year.
If the battery + is to chassis then the coil + goes to the distributer.
Coil should be 3.0 ohm if fed 12V. Coil should be 1.5 ohm is supplied with 6V or used in a 12V system with a ballast resistor.
Polarize the generator to be certain it isn't backwards.
