Darn. I plated the four sweet corn varieties in two rows each for a total of 8 rows together in one patch. May as well let the coons have it.
I did know enough to plant the ornamental corn a couple of hundred feet away and down wind of the sweet corn.
In this politically correct age we can't call it Indian Corn anymore.
I have the live trap set outside the turkey run at the moment, baited with peanut butter, jam and marshmallows. Caught 7 of my own turkeys in 8 days.
It appears the old fashoned bronze turkey can fly over fences a white hybred turkey can't.
