In my area (KS) wheat straw is advertised for $2.00 a bale, wish I could find some of those people paying $5.00 a bale. With him doing all the labor and providing the equipment & fuel .35 is about right (or a little low) if straw is also 2.00 a bale in Ohio. If you know he's going to get to it and do a decent job (plus he is your neighbor) it's not to far out of line. Getting it put up in small squares is a PIA unless you have the help to get it done.

As for buying a baler, you'll be money ahead letting it lay in the field for only 80 acres.
